MN-ND-SD Division News

As many of you know, Division has a begun a very successful mentoring program that everyone is invited to join.  They are looking for mentors and mentees.  Please visit Division's mentoring website for more information.  On this website you will also find a list of available mentors.  You can also e-mail mentoringpair@iaap-mnndsd-division.org if you know you are interested and just want to get started.

Not sure about signing up to be a mentor or a mentee?  You should know that there is a 3-month minimum requirement, with a couple of meetings each month.  This doesn’t have to be a huge time commitment!   At the end of the three months, the mentor and mentee should submit a short report to the leadership development committee recapping the results.  Testimony from our members is key to a successful mentoring program!  No matter your skills, there is sure to be someone in our division that needs you!

We hope to hear from you!

4 E’s of an Excellent Leader

Presented by Diane Windingland

Author, Speaker, Engineer, Business Owner

One IAAP Recertification Credit has been received for this program

Leaders do not command excellence.  They build excellence.  During this presentation you will learn that integrity is the base upon which excellence is built and communicated through four approaches:  Expectations, Encouragement, Empathy and Empowerment.  At the end of this presentation you will take away these four key tools to build your own excellence as a leader in your career and/or any organization you may be involved with.

An engineer by training, Diane Windingland has owned several small businesses and has trained business owners and other professionals on how to become better networkers, better conversationalists and better presenters.  You will be engaged, educated and entertained with Diane’s story-filled, high-content and interactive presentation.
