Auditing

The Auditing Committee audits the Chapter's financial records and reports to the Board of Directors.

Bylaws & Standing Rules

Connie Hill

The Bylaws & Standing Rules Committee maintains conformity in Chapter Bylaws & Standing Rules with the International Bylaws and Standing Rules and the Division Bylaws and Standing Rules. They may propose amendments and resolutions, edit/correlate all proposed amendments to the Bylaws & Standing Rules of this Chapter and submit them together with the Committee's recommendations and the reasons for the recommendations to the membership in accordance with these Bylaws. Submit Chapter Bylaws & Standing Rules and/or amendments thereto to the Division for approval as amended or at least every four years and assist the Board of Directors in preparing & submitting amendments and resolutions to the International and/or Division Bylaws & Standing Rules.

Communications

The Communications Committee is responsible for all communications including the Minneapolis Matters newsletter, website and employment opportunities. The newsletter responsibilities include working with the chapter committees to gather information, establish deadlines and secure a method and/or source to provide assistance (monetary) with monthly mailings to ensure newsletter is delivered to all members within two weeks prior to the monthly meeting to allow adequate response time. Employment opportunites are posted on the website for 30 days and forward to other Metro Lakes Council chapters. The committee is responsible for the content and direction of the chapter web site.

Education

Dannielle Peterson, Lila  Kalish  CAP

The Education Committee is responsible for notifying members of educational opportunities and for the monthly chapter programs, subject to appproval by the board. The Committee is responsible for reservations/cancellations for monthly chapter programs and acts as a liaison with the hotel/facility regarding room arrangements and menu. The Committee introduces the speaker/program at the Chapter meetings.

Historian & Network

LaVonne  Bittner  CPS

The chapter historian updates the chapter scrapbook with current photos and memorabilia from chapter events.

Hospitality

Bernadette  Stanley  CPS

The Hospitality Committee investigates and presents recommendations for future (next year's entire program/meeting year) to the Board of Directors. The Committee works with the hotel to set up dinner meetings which include room set up, menu, call in guarantee, act as contact for hotel staff at dinner meetings and assign hostesses for each meeting to act as greeters. They work with the Program Committee to determine specific needs/requirements of each meeting and work with the publicity Committee to coordinate information regarding location, menu, cost, deadlines, etc. They also work with the Treasurer to determine guarantee to be communicated to the hotel.

Membership

Cheryl Davis

The Membership Committee is responsibile for all activities of the Chapter concerned with the recruitment of new members and retention of members. The Committee is responsible for updating the membership list on the web site and the preparation, publication and timely distribution of a list of Chapter membership, and shall report any changes to the Assistant Treasurer as they may occur.

Nominating

Wendy  Peek 

The Nominating Committee consists of a Chairman, who shall be the Immediate Past President, and three Chapter members. Nominations are made from the floor in September, the names will be printed in a Chapter newsletter published prior to the October meeting, and the election will take place at the October meeting. In addition, the Committee will present to the Board of Directors and membership nominations for Chapter, Division and International office.
