Auditing

The Auditing Committee audits the Chapter's financial records and reports to the Board of Directors.

Bylaws & Standing Rules

Cheryl Davis

The Bylaws & Standing Rules Committee maintains conformity in Chapter Bylaws & Standing Rules with the International Bylaws and Standing Rules and the Division Bylaws and Standing Rules. The committee may propose amendments and resolutions, edit/correlate all proposed amendments to the Bylaws & Standing Rules of this Chapter and submit them together with the committee's recommendations and the reasons for the recommendations to the membership in accordance with these Bylaws. The committee also submits Chapter Bylaws & Standing Rules and/or amendments thereto to the Division for approval as amended or at least every four years and assists the Board of Directors in preparing & submitting amendments and resolutions to the International and/or Division Bylaws & Standing Rules.

Communications

LaVonne  Bittner , Brenda Shaw, M.S.Ed., CPS/CAP

The Communications Committee coordinates the monthly publication of the chapter newsletter and shall oversee the frequent updating of the chapter's website. The committee also acts as liaison between employers and members seeking employment opportunities.

Education

Georgann B. Wenisch CAP, Therese Simmons

The Education Committee is responsible for notifying members of educational opportunities and for the monthly chapter programs, subject to appproval by the board. The Committee is responsible for reservations/cancellations for monthly chapter programs and acts as a liaison with the hotel/facility regarding room arrangements and menu. The Committee introduces the speaker/program at the Chapter meetings.

Membership

Heather Coulter

The Membership Committee is responsibile for all activities of the Chapter concerned with the recruitment of new members and retention of current members. The Committee is responsible for updating the membership list on the web site and the preparation, publication and timely distribution of a list of Chapter membership, and shall report any changes to the Assistant Treasurer as they may occur.

Nominating

Brenda Shaw, M.S.Ed., CPS/CAP

The Nominating Committee consists of a Chairman, who shall be the Immediate Past President, and three Chapter members who are nominated and elected no later than the November chapter meeting. The Committee works throughout the year to determine eligible candidates for chapter Officer and Board positions, submitting the slate of candidates in accordance with Article III, Section 3 of the Bylaws. In addition, the committee presents to the Board of Directors and membership nominations for Division and International office.

Professional Development

The Professional Development Committee stimulates interest and participation in the CPS and CAP programs and actively encourage recognition of the CPS and CAP ratings and promotion within the education sector, government and industry. The committee coordinates all student activities of the chapter, which may include planning a local professional development conference with IAAP members from the other Metro Chapters. The committee also is responsible for overseeing the selection process of a student(s) and/or Chapter member(s) to receive funds from the chapter's scholarship fund.

Retirement Trust Foundation

The Retirement Trust Foundation Committee is responsible for membership awareness of the Foundation and may hold a fund raising event(s) during the year for the Foundation.
